This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations for purchases made on the CertifAI platform (certifaiedu.com), operated by CertifAI Educational Services / DIGIAEON Services Pvt. Ltd. This policy is designed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India), the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 (India), and applicable consumer protection standards.
By making a purchase on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy. This Policy forms part of and should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Overview
1.1. CertifAI offers one-time, non-recurring payment plans for access to its AI certification programme. There are no subscriptions, automatic renewals, or recurring charges.
1.2. All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) through Razorpay, a PCI DSS-compliant, RBI-licensed payment aggregator.
1.3. The following plans are available:
- Free Plan: 4 sessions (Module 1). No payment required.
- Explorer (Rs 2,999): Level 1 access (14 sessions).
- Specialist (Rs 4,999): Level 1 + Level 2 access (34 sessions).
- Creator (Rs 5,999): Level 1 + Level 2 + Level 3 access (58 sessions).
1.4. Since these are one-time payment plans with no recurring charges, there is no "cancellation" in the subscription sense. This policy addresses refunds for purchases already made.
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1. 7-Day Refund Window: You may request a full refund within seven (7) calendar days from the date of purchase, subject to the conditions below.
2.2. Content Completion Threshold: To be eligible for a refund, you must not have completed more than 25% of the content included in your purchased plan. Content completion is measured by the number of sessions marked as completed relative to the total sessions in the plan:
- Explorer (14 sessions): Refund eligible if no more than 3 sessions completed.
- Specialist (34 sessions): Refund eligible if no more than 8 sessions completed.
- Creator (58 sessions): Refund eligible if no more than 14 sessions completed.
2.3. Both conditions must be met: the request must be within 7 days of purchase AND content completion must be at or below 25%.
2.4. No Refund After 7 Days: No refunds will be issued after the 7-day refund window has expired, regardless of content completion percentage.
2.5. No Refund After 25% Completion: No refunds will be issued if more than 25% of the purchased content has been completed, even if within the 7-day window.
2.6. Partial Refunds: Partial refunds are not applicable under the one-time payment model. Refunds are issued in full or not at all.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Purchases where the 7-day refund window has expired.
- Purchases where more than 25% of content has been completed.
- Certificate issuance fees (once a certificate has been generated and issued).
- Accounts that have been suspended or terminated for violation of the Terms of Service.
- Purchases made using promotional codes, discount offers, or special pricing (unless the promotional terms expressly include refund eligibility).
- Free plan access (no payment was made, hence no refund applicable).
4. Refund Process
To request a refund, follow these steps:
- Submit a Request: Send an email to support@certifaiedu.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include the following information:
- Your registered email address
- Your full name
- Razorpay Order ID or Payment ID (available in your payment confirmation email)
- Date of purchase
- Plan purchased (Explorer, Specialist, or Creator)
- Reason for refund request
- Verification: Our team will verify your refund eligibility within 2 business days, including confirming the purchase date and content completion percentage.
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming whether your refund has been approved or declined, with reasons if declined.
- Processing: Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay to the original payment method used for the purchase.
- Access Revocation: Upon refund approval, your access to paid content will be revoked. You will retain access to the free plan (first 4 sessions).
5. Refund Timeline
5.1. Approved refunds will be processed within 7 to 10 business days from the date of approval.
5.2. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method:
- Credit/Debit Card: 5-10 business days (depending on your card issuer).
- UPI: 3-5 business days.
- Net Banking: 5-10 business days.
- Wallets: 3-5 business days.
5.3. Processing timelines are estimates and may vary depending on your bank or payment provider. CertifAI is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
5.4. If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days of approval, please contact support@certifaiedu.com with your refund reference number.
6. Free Tier
6.1. The Free plan provides access to 4 sessions (Module 1: AI Demystified) at no cost. No payment is required, and therefore no refund is applicable.
6.2. Free plan users who wish to discontinue use may simply stop using the Platform or request account deletion by contacting support@certifaiedu.com.
7. Plan Upgrades
7.1. When upgrading from one paid plan to a higher plan (e.g., Explorer to Specialist), you pay only the difference between the plans.
7.2. The 7-day refund window and 25% completion threshold for upgrade payments are calculated based on the upgrade payment date and the additional content unlocked by the upgrade.
7.3. A refund for an upgrade payment will revert your access to the previous plan level. The original plan purchase is not affected.
8. Institute & B2B Plans
8.1. Refund terms for Institute, School, and corporate (B2B) plans are governed by the specific terms of the business agreement entered into between CertifAI and the organisation.
8.2. This consumer refund policy does not apply to B2B purchases. Institutes and business clients should contact their CertifAI account manager or email support@certifaiedu.com for refund inquiries.
8.3. Individual students enrolled through an Institute or School programme should contact their Institute administrator for refund-related queries, as the commercial relationship is between CertifAI and the Institute.
9. Certificate Fees
9.1. Certificate issuance is included in the plan price. Once a certificate has been generated and issued to a student, the portion attributable to certification is non-refundable.
9.2. If a refund is approved before any certificates have been issued, the full purchase amount is refunded.
9.3. Certificate renewal fees (if applicable in the future) are non-refundable once the renewal assessment has been attempted.
10. Technical Issues & Service Disruption
10.1. Extended Outage: If the Platform is inaccessible for seven (7) or more consecutive days due to technical issues on CertifAI's end (not including scheduled maintenance with prior notice), you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the 7-day window or content completion threshold.
10.2. Partial Outage: For service disruptions shorter than 7 consecutive days, CertifAI may extend your account validity period by the duration of the outage at its discretion.
10.3. Payment Failures: If a payment was charged but the plan was not activated due to a technical error, CertifAI will either activate the plan or issue a full refund within 5 business days of being notified.
10.4. Duplicate Payments: If you are charged twice for the same plan due to a technical error, the duplicate charge will be refunded within 5 business days of identification.
10.5. Technical issues caused by the user's device, internet connection, or third-party tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools referenced in the curriculum) are not grounds for a refund.
11. Chargebacks
11.1. We encourage you to contact us at support@certifaiedu.com to resolve any payment disputes before filing a chargeback with your bank or payment provider.
11.2. Filing a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with CertifAI may result in suspension of your account pending investigation.
11.3. CertifAI reserves the right to dispute chargebacks that it considers unjustified and to provide evidence of service delivery to the payment provider.
11.4. If a chargeback is filed and later reversed in CertifAI's favour, your account access will be restored. If the chargeback is upheld, your account will be terminated and any certificates issued may be revoked.
12. Consumer Rights
12.1. This policy is designed to comply with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 (India).
12.2. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable Indian law. If any provision of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws, the provisions of law shall prevail.
12.3. Indian consumers may approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (District, State, or National) under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, for grievance redressal.
12.4. CertifAI maintains a Grievance Officer to address consumer complaints. Contact details are provided in Section 14 below. Complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days.
13. Policy Modifications
13.1. CertifAI reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated through a notice on the Platform and/or via email.
13.2. The version of this Policy that was in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase, even if the Policy is subsequently updated.
13.3. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
